Why Vista Sucks
By XIR.Sticklyman
Vista sucks because the first time it tried to boot it failed. Then it booted itself into SAFE MODE. Typical Microsoft crap GRML

To be perfectly honest: possibly. It depends how you install it and if the installation actually works. Its a bit of a gamble.

I finally got Vista working It turned out that I have a faulty RAM stick so I'm now only running on 1GB Vista seems to work quite well but there are still many bugs with it. Often programs will crash for no apparent reason but hopefully this will be fixed when the OS is released. I thought I would just let you know BTW, UT seems to work fine apart from the fact that Vista thinks the program has crashed when you quit

hehe the old ms sucks thread never fails...
ive posted this topic before on this very forum..
my vista experiance..
1st time round on a very early beta.. i was'nt to impressed
as it was bug ridden and 100% no drivers.. so it was slow and sluggish
beta 2
this was where my thoughts changed as lots of the old bugs had been fixed and there was a gfx driver available from ati.. also beta..
but it showed a little of what vista is all about.. namely...
that everything you see on your screen is powered by your gfx card.. no more drawing of boxes and windows.. everything is rendered..
no other os does this.. this means a couple of months after vista is released its going to knock the socks off anything on the market..
visually wise.. but this isnt everything.. i hear you mutter..
no indeed it isnt.. so with the great visuals will come great security
we may think microsoft suck at this.. but do they really..
currently i use win xp sp2 which i have to say.. has problems what so ever.. its a good platform.. it runs all my stuff.. sometimes it crashes..
not very often.. so as far i concerned in the end ms did a good job of that
when vista comes out properly.. i will definately buy it.. as for me..
i personally like microsoft.. if there is a fault they fix it sharpish..
when you buy a new game most times.. there are things that dont work correctly in it.. so what do you do.. you patch it.. you do exactly the same thing with your os.. thankfully.. ms do listen to what we need and they do deliver.. sooner or later
vista is going to be good.. i dont think it will flop.. no far from it..
it will be used by the masses once people realise what it will be capable of.. they will be queuing to buy it.. if your not going to use vista..
what are you pc owners going to use.. are you going to be left behind
in the tech stakes and still use xp? no i think not.. you will use vista..
and just keep critising ms for bad os's when infact you have no choice but to use it.. becuase its good..
so i have been using vista for a while now.. with bugs and i still like it..
it is very fast smooth.. and it has lots of power.. and potential..
i hope everyone supports it.. from here things can only get better...
for gamers for business people for everyone..
a new age dawns... and its called vista.. its gonna rock.. not straight away
but it will shortly after..
so thats my thoughts on it heheh..
btw hello everyone!
