Heya! Does any of you know about updating php scripts for the phpbb forum? anything o how to do it.
Is there any phpbb tutorials for dummies? hehe
As i need to update my forum due to getting loads and loads of spambots through. Tried various ways of preventing this by using user activation only, but some still manage to activate their account and post. and as my phpbb is an old version it doesn't have the keycode image verification image. Which the update should have.
Any help would be appreciated!

Well, I didn't believe it first but most spammers
(at least on this forum) are real people. So even
that visual verification doesn't prevent them to
join.
Though it's always a good idea to keep your
phpbb forum up to date. Here's where you can
download the latest version:
http://www.phpbb.com/downloads/
If you excessively modded your forum you might
want to applie the code canges manually
(3rd link from the top)
