I had a great time!! Was a bit snowy when we got there, but that melted after a day. It wasn't really very scenic in the city centre (unlike last time i went to Norway) but some places were really beautiful. The food was sooo nice too.... waffles with brown cheese.... and lots of cakes!!! We went to a statue park (Frognerparken), a history museum, a modern art museum (that was probably my highlight, some amazing stuff there), and up a ski jump to see an amazing view of Oslo (of which my photos aren't very good cos we had to take it through the glass windows )
Here are a few of my photos, still have to get everyone elses (there were 7 of us, so lots to come!). I'll try and post some photos of all of us at some point.

Yeh, i've been to Norway before too, Sandnes i think it was called, and that was a lot more scenic than Oslo. I went near Christmas too, and everyone had their Christmas trees in their gardens... the valleys looked beautiful!
Sweden sounds like an excellent idea!

Nice pictures Carly. I’ve never been to Oslo but I did go to Norway at the Epcot centre Florida, does that count? Norway had the best food.
I have been to Sweden, Lisa, lovely country, lovely people - and they all speak English, very thoughtful of them. There didn’t seem to be very many of them though. Not many cars either… maybe they share.
Did you take (where you allowed to take) any pictures in the modern art museum Carly?

I'm quite sure it looks very different. We don't really have wooden houses here, mostly just brick, and mostly not very nice to look at. Although it does depend where abouts you go... there are some lovely houses in England... huge stone houses, cottages, etc.
The city centre of Oslo wasn't a lot different to Newcastle, and i've found that with most cities... except that in some places in Oslo you could see mountains in the distance... which you'll rarely see here! There were architectural differences as far as the buildings went though. Ours tend to be large and grand, whereas in Oslo they were more decorative and colourful.
If you ever fly over to England you'll notice how many more people there are here before you land, if you look out of the window....... loads of lights if you fly at night. When we flew over Norway i kept wondering if we were still over the North Sea!

We couldn't use cameras in there unfortunately..... but i think maybe one of my housemates sneaked one in! I haven't seen her photos yet. I really loved it though, and would highly recommend it if anyone goes to Oslo. And if you do go... don't miss the room on the 3rd floor that you can only get to on one side of the building. The guy who never threw anything away, because everything had a memory associtated with it. There were just walls and cabinets full of things, with little labels about where they came from. Some really interesting things... and also lots of really stupid things, like pieces of fluff, lol.
