Hi everyone! Very Happy

I installed an attachment mod into this forum.
Everyone now is able to attach files to their
post(s). Attaching JPG files causes the server
to automatically generate a thumbnail that
fits nicely into our forum layout.

Flash files (.swf) will be shown directly on
these forum pages. Other files like mp3,
wmv, wma or zip files will appear as download
link. At the moment upload space is unlimited
I'll keep an eye on it and will decide later if
there might be a future upload quota.

As it often happens that links don't work after
a certain amount of time I highly encourage
you to use this new feature at least for uploading
image files to our forum.

They have to be jpg files. You don't need to resize
images - server will do that job for you.

Here's how it works:

After clicking "New Post" or "Post Reply" you will
get the page you already know. There's a new
section now called "Add an Attachment"

Click "Chose File" and find the file to upload from
your hard drive.

Make sure you put some text into the normal
message body field. If you want to post an image
only just put to full stops ".." into the text field.

Click "Preview". Uploading files will take some time
depending on your internet connection - so don't
click your browser reload or cancel and keep your
browser window open. After files upload is finished
you'll see a preview of your post. You might want
to applie corrections to your text.

Then click "Submit" Done! Your post is now
visible to everyone. Very Happy

Sorry for writing so much text here but I guess
it's better to explain how it works. If there's any
questions left don't hesitate to ask. Wink

Description:

Description:

JPEG images will appear as a downscaled version that fits nicely into this forum. For full size version just click the image.

Well... stupid admin set maximum
image dimensions to 500 px. Stupid admin
doesn't get any limitations so he didn't have
a clue bout what's going on... Wink

Stupid admin got it sorted finally... Very Happy

Though it was possible to send attachments
via pm an error prevented them from appearing
