ok here's a n00b question but i downloaded the demo..finally can see myself playing *lol* but then what? How can you play this demo where do you have to put it etc..thanks

The normal way is to open your ut2004 directory.
If you never recoreded a demo for yourself you
have to create a new directory there called "Demos".
Maybe it's already there. Put the downloaded and
uncompressed demo file there.
Start your UT. In main menu choose "Community".
Then there should a "Demos" tab be visible - klick it.
If everything went right you shall see the demo
on the left hand list. Klick it, klick "Play", enjoy. 
Also: Press F4 for 1st person view. Klick your mouse
button to change player.
