hi all just met X|R tok ra on ocbc..and was quite puzzled about his behavior, first he sayed i was a campper never been called that before..and in the second map i tried to jump around like crazy rabbit ..and then he complained about spawn kills..and stopped shootting, i think that is quite odd behaviour from a dude that has written that story of UT players not sticking together...so i am sorry if my play style differs from yours,and i did not in anyway try to do nothing else than just have fun and play the game...and IMHO in arena maps it is quite hard to camp, you stand at a place where anybody can shoot you anyway..and i def did not stand still so if we meet again, just laugh and frag me if i am campping in arena m8.

No prob, we are mainly Quake 4 clan,but play UT ig for fun. And thanks for the invitation to your servers, i think we will visit you soon,if your ping is ok for us..since some of us are from Finland and not too many German servers work good for us.

( ...öhem...-no I cant help you cause he is to fast for me ... )

and second you "where trying" to spawn kill me... not always
successfull... but yeah i let you do it... i stopped shooting..
i did not spawn kill you once... i dont do it... and to me
someone who wins a match this way hasnt really won anything...
i mean yeah your aim is good.. and your prolly a really good player..

if i was a new player and someone did that stuff to me...
i dont think i would feel very good...
i have thought long and hard about the things i say...
and i try and educate people that killing people
from a spot.. somewhere on a map... people that arent even
shooting at you... or even trying to spawn kill....well this to me is not good... i just try and play a fair game like its supposed to be played..
i do not spawn kill or camp..... i play fair.. prolly why i sometimes lose
so many matches... as they come out shooting and i dont spawn kill them.. i wait for a shot.. most games... unless they come out shooting and always kill me 1st shot from spawn.. yeah then i might do a few spawn kills to try and unsettle them from doing that..
ask anyone who knows me and they will all say the same thing..
i dunny camp and i defo dont play to spawn kill.... sometimes even to my friends... its not to offend them... its to try and learn them that to win games there is no need to do these things...

spawn killing is ok 1 time maybe 2... after that i just stand still

and carry on playing... think nothing about it...
but imagine if everyone did that .... what type of game would we have
one that sucks i guess... cause everyone is doing shady tactics to win..

yes i gladly admit that i do spawn kills and if there was no spawn protection like in official rules aren't..i would do them a lot more it is part of the game to learn spawn points and use them. Camping i do not do..to me it makes no difference if you are out in the open move and shoot..or run and jump like horny rabbit Camping to me is hiding in a place where you can shoot others easily in normal maps.I can't even understand what is campping in arena I came to that mortal combat when the leader had 18 frags, so i shot as fast as i could and won, did not hide behind anything..and yes did spawn kills.Btw you are the first person i have heard that thinks spawn killing is 'shady'..in ocbc you have spawn protection..and it is just lame if you can't move during that away from spawn point. In official rules there is no spawn protection, and most frags are done by spawn kill..if you look at the best players stats in official rules in gael..they constantly frag about 80-100 frags in that 10 mins, and by spawn killing.And that does not make the game dull to play,it is just one thing more to learn And you saying 'if that rocks your boat' is just stupid..m8 you stopped playing in the middle of a map..i guess that is what 'rocks your boat' then..i would never do a thing like that, i did not cheat, played fair..not the way you liked tho, so you just quit ...to me that is just sad that you think your way is the way the game was supposed to be played.Ppl are different do things differently even play UT in different styles..i respeckt your way, and you judge me.. you really think that you are right ,don't you

My opinion is that the spawn kills are part of the game but the players that think they can play good dont use it much.
Spawnkilling is ok in case that you want to give cover to your flagrunner or you want to protect the ballrunner.Otherwise constant spawnkilling is unnecesary, and with it you will only frustrate the opposite teams players and if that is your main point then ok, it is your choice , but you will get called names not only from clan players but from new players also becose they wanna enjoy a game and not have someone hangin around their spawn point waiting for them to show up so that they cant make one step, but he kills them...then the game looses its sence (do you like to be aimboted...well this is quite similar)

My mate Avalanche got banned from D2F clan becose of crazy spawnkilling and another issue he had there...but he also got banned from some lgi ctf servers becose of that spawnkilling.
If you are a good aimer use it to defend your base and not to not let other team get on the field...

I also dont want to be a flamer and I dont have nothing against you mate...u seem as a real great guy becose you came with respect to our forums, and i think we all apreciate it, but the forums are for disscusing opinions and facts...and this are just my opinions, not all facts

Sorry Dave, but i agree with ]k3rn[N@p, i am not a camper, i never have been, i'm not that good a player either, i like to move a lot, at the expence of aiming, but if i can get a spawn kill, i will, its part of the game, we all use diff tactics, thats also part of the game, all these different tactics, like camping, is a skill, i,v tried it, and it doesent work for me, if you rember <SBD> Wittmann, he was a master at camping, he would get me every time on a camping map, but pick a map like say, skyscraping, and i would get him everytime,

I rarely use translocator, i dont like it, but a lot of players do! trans is what makes some players good, the way i look at it, use any means you can, if your good at it. use it!!

Yeh forums are for discussion - that's right but what have
here are two different options that - from my point of view
- won't fit together even after discussing it through. One
is "If it's not forbidden by server rules why don't do it?"
the other one "It's not good for the game and frustrating
other players even if everyone would play like that."
Somehow I can understand both points though I try not to
camp not to spawn kill.

So if you'd like to welcome ]k3rn[N@p feel free to post into
this thread. But I don't think the discussion about playing
styles would lead to something constructive.
