Well i,v tried everything to get the demo working on my 4600 amd2 PC and it still doesent work for me.
So i tried it on my old 2400 amd PC with Radion 9600 PRO graphics card, and it works, graphics are crap, but it works.

hmm ... isn't there a amd64 x2 patch for windows xp anywhere to download? Try it clive. Maybe it'll work. It's for the cpu not for the game

Yea i got the dual core optimiser tool Arne, they recomended it on the epic forums, but it still didnt work

hey folks!
i just had some practice with the instagib rifle against bots.
its not the same feeling as playing online, but better than nothing
it helps to get an impression, how instagib will be when the game is out.
what to do:
open an instant action, start a game with some bots to frag.
after the game has started, open the console and enter
giveweapon utgame.utweap_instagibrifle
then you have it and you can start to blow the bots away ... 
PS: after you are fragged (should not happen  ), you must repeat the console command to get the weapon again
