It is "Never say never".
And you do easily beat my speeds - I'm out of Uni halls now so I'm back to a crappy internet connection. Generally, people only live in halls for the first year in the UK. I'm back to my old ~4Mbit connection

Hi folks, maybe you have an idea. My provider is now Kabeldeutschland (KD) with about 20k down and 1k up. But, I have more packet losses and lags with UT than with previous T-DSL 2k and fastpath. I have already optimized the TCP-IP config with speedguide.net.
What else could it be? Do you (cable users) had same problems? Anything what I have forgotten?
router: D-Link DIR-300
cable modem: Motorola SBV5121E
thanks for your suggestions

hey arne,
I from Berlin . I am also using W-Lan with WPA, so I will try to connect directly to the cable modem with the computer, to see, whether this may be the problem. I will let you know about the result.

Today, I tried the direct connection to the cable modem. There was no difference, still PLs .
So it seems to be, that the provider KD is the problem. That's bad news (also for me). Maybe it is better in other regions, but in Berlin, KD is not the first address for online gaming. If still anybody has a hint about that, plz let me know.
